Tales in the park | Burslem Park | Fri 15 Aug

Local families are invited to enjoy summer storytelling as the National Literacy Trust in Stoke's 'Tales in the Park' series returns to Stoke-on-Trent this summer. 

Tales in the Park will be at Burslem Park on Friday 15 August From 11am – 3pm.

Visitors will be treated to storytelling, pop-up sports, crafts, circus skills, a bouncy castle, and so much more.

Open day | Ford Green Hall | Sun 17 Aug

Ford Green Hall is hosting an open day from 11am-4pm on Sunday to celebrate Stoke-on-Trent's centenary year.

The Old Nortonian Society have arranged the event and there will be rural crafts, live music, a photo archive display, cream tea and more.

So-Oasis | The Quarter at Potbank | Fri 15 Aug

So-Oasis, "the Midlands' best Oasis tribute", are at The Factory Floor @ The Quarter on Friday 15 August with tickets priced at £10.

You can expect all the big hits so whether you're celebrating a birthday, a reunion, or just fancy a loud singalong and a pint with your mates — this is the night for it.

Castle Artisan Market | Newcastle town centre | Sun 17 Aug

Castle Artisan Market is back on Sunday 17 August, between 10am-3pm and with the best in local talent, tasty treats, and handmade treasures.

You can expect brownies, bakes, puds, pies, arts, gifts, homeware and unique finds.

Potters in Pursuit fundraiser | The Artisan Tap

There is a jam-packed line-up of solo acts and foot-stomping bands at The Artisan Tap, in Hartshill, on Sunday. This includes: Vox Americana, Hollie Vee & the Hubkaps, Kathleen Ord, Kim Harrison, King Pistols, Joe Bennett, Gary Davies, Adam Darcy and Joel Ramble.

It's all to raise money for Action Medical Research and is running from midday until 8pm.
