Alan Dukes Photography is an award-winning pet photography business based in Stoke-on-Trent which offers on-location photoshoots, end-of-life sessions and stunning wall art for your home.

From car sales to pet photographer ... Alan's love for photography started as a child when he helped his dad put together and clean cameras.

Four years ago, Alan picked up a camera again to take pictures of family trips and his own dogs - an Alaskan Malamute, Husky and a French Bulldog - and the rest is history.

Alan told Nub News, "You're always told not to work with children and animals but honestly there's nothing better than a dog who loves running around and having fun."

Alan uses various locations across Stoke-on-Trent to create his stunning images (Alan Dukes Photography).

He said: "It's a joy to get to meet people and their dogs and roll around, get dirty and have fun.

"I can do anything from nice posed pictures to more relaxed images of the dog having fun - it's personalised to each dog and each shoot."

Alan offers packages with wall art, canvases or just digital images (Alan Dukes Photography).

There are three steps to getting the perfect picture of your pooch:

  1. Consultation - Alan will get to know you and your dog and check that his style is what you are looking for.
  2. Photoshoot - Using his location guide, Alan will meet you at a scenic area (such as Park Hall or Barlaston Downs) and spend up to two hours capturing images of your dog and the owner too if you want to get involved.
  3. Pick your products - Within two weeks, Alan will have 20-30 images ready for you to view and select how you want to view the art!

Alan is a member of both The Guild of Photographers and The Societies of Photographers, and recently won the North West Pet Photographer of the Year award at the Midlands Enterprise Awards 2022.

His large collection of raving reviews from customers are a testament to his work.

Jo and Ant said: "Alan spent hours with us to get the right shots of our puppy Beagle Beau. He treated him like he was his own. The attention to detail was excellent as well. Alan is so talented, it was an amazing experience from start to finish. We will treasure these photos forever."

Lynette wrote: "Alan did a photoshoot for my two Labradors and the photos we had were stunning. Alan had no problem lying on a wet floor to get great shots and edited the photos perfectly based on our requests. The photos we purchased were value for money and we are really pleased with the finished results."
