Two people were taken to hospital after a car crashed into a takeaway in Stoke-on-Trent on Sunday.
Emergency services were alerted to the crash at Rose Fast Food on Scotia Road, in Burslem, at 6am yesterday (20 July) and the West Midlands Ambulance Service has today confirmed both the driver and the passenger of the car were taken to hospital.
A man, the driver, was treated for "serious injuries" while a woman, the passenger, was treated for "potentially serious injuries" and they were both taken to the Royal Stoke by paramedics.
The occupants of the takeaway and the upstairs flat did not require any treatment from paramedics.
A demolition crew is returning to the building today to complete works to make the area safe after the crash devastated the building on Sunday morning.
Temporary traffic lights are in place while teams continue to work.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "On arrival crews found a car that had come off the road and collided with a building.
"The driver, a man, was treated for serious injuries before being conveyed under emergency driving conditions to Royal Stoke University Hospital.
"The passenger, a woman, was treated for potentially serious injuries and conveyed to Royal Stoke University Hospital.
