Two men released without charge following house fire in Stoke-on-Trent

Two men arrested after a house fire in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, at the weekend have been released without charge.

Police and fire crews were called to reports of a blaze at a property on Eagle Street at around 11.15am on Saturday 6 January.

Firefighters rescued one woman from the property. She was taken to hospital with serious burns and she remains in hospital at this time.

A 47-year-old man and a 69-year-old man, both from Stoke-on-Trent, were arrested on suspicion of arson. They have now been released without charge.
