Woman in 'critical but stable' condition following collision in Cheadle

Police are appealing for information following a serious collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Cheadle.

Officers went to Tean Road just before 3pm on Saturday (6 January) and found a black Volkswagen Polo and a woman in her 80s involved in a collision.

The woman was taken to hospital for treatment and remains in a critical but stable condition. 

The driver of the Polo stayed at the scene to help officers with inquiries. 

Anyone who saw what happened or those with CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time are asked to get in touch.
