Two men charged following armed robbery at Stoke-on-Trent shop

Two men have been charged following an armed robbery at a shop in Stoke-on-Trent earlier this year.

At around 10.10pm on 27 July, police were called to a report of two men with a weapon at the Co-op on Keelings Road, Hanley.

Two men were arrested in the Manchester area last Wednesday (20 September).

Two men have been charged with the incident and have been remanded into custody (Staffordshire Police).

Benjamin Thompson, 36, of Wythenshawe, and Wesley Shepherd, 39, of Sale, have both been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to cause an explosion likely to endanger life. 

Both men have been remanded into custody.
