Two men arrested after disorder at Stoke City FC match

Two men have been arrested following disorder which took place at the end of the Stoke City game on Boxing Day.

The two men, a 62-year-old and a 22-year-old, both from Stoke-on-Trent were arrested this morning (Sunday 29 December) on suspicion of affray. 

Both men remain in custody. 

Superintendent John Owen said: "More arrests will be taking place following the disorder at the game on Boxing Day. 

"With another Stoke City fixture today (Sunday 29 December), we want to send a strong message that if you get involved in disorder you will be arrested. 

"Our officers will be deployed to ensure the safety of supporters."
