Two vehicles have been recently stolen in Stoke-on-Trent after being left to defrost.
A white Citreon van was stolen from a driveway in Bentilee, and a white Citreon car was stolen from a driveway in Longton, between 3.30am and 5am on Saturday (3 January).
Both vehicles had been left unattended to defrost.
The van was found in Biddulph at around 4.30am on Sunday (4 January) but the car has not yet been found.
Staffordshire Police explained that investigations are ongoing and issued a reminder to drivers to never leave vehicles unattended, especially while defrosting.
Inspector Rebecca Price, of the Stoke-on-Trent south local policing team (LPT) said: "We are urging people not to leave their vehicle unattended whilst it defrosts.
"Thieves are opportunistic and will be on the look-out for vehicles left running on frosty mornings."
