Two days of disruption set for Stoke-on-Trent station next week

Trains at Stoke-on-Trent station are set to be cancelled once again next month due to engineering works.
Trains will not run between Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent on Saturday 4 October and Sunday 5 October
This is to allow for more engineering works to take place on the Greek Street bridge and roundabout in Stockport.
Replacement bus services will be running to Crewe for journeys towards Manchester and to Stafford for journeys towards London and Birmingham.
William Brandon, Network Rail's project manager, thanked passengers for their "ongoing patience and understanding".

He said: "Though the reconstruction of the bridge is complete, there is still more work to do."
"To safely install parts of the new roundabout, we need to close the railway again for two days.
"After that, we will begin to work with utility companies to redivert their services though the bridge, before relaying the road ready for people to use again."
Engineers will be removing the wall in the centre of the tracks in Stockport, which is now redundant. They'll also be starting work to reinstate the road and walls on the roundabout which sits on top of the bridge.
Passengers travelling between Stoke-on-Trent and Manchester Piccadilly are advised to check before they travel using the National Rail journey planner.
These closures come shortly after the Manchester spur of the West Coast Main Line was closed for three weeks in August, while key components of the new Greek Street bridge were lifted into place.
The old bridge is being replaced because it has reached the end of its natural life.
The new bridge and roundabout, now halfway complete, is expected to last 120 years.
Network Rail has warned there may be further work required over Christmas.
