Two boys arrested on suspicion of 34 offences in motorbike theft investigation

Two boys from Stoke-on-Trent have been arrested and are suspected of 34 offences between them in an investigation into motorbike thefts in Stoke-on-Trent.

The boys, both aged 14 years old, were arrested by Staffordshire Police on suspicion of conspiring to steal a vehicle, handling stolen goods, vehicle theft, attempted robbery and driving offences.

They were questioned in custody and later released under investigation while the force makes continued enquiries.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Officers from our city proactive team and local neighbourhood officers have arrested two people on suspicion of a combined 34 offences as part of an ongoing investigation into a series of motorbike thefts in Stoke-on-Trent.

"Two 14-year-old boys, from Stoke-on-Trent, were arrested on suspicion of a series of offences, including conspiracy to steal a vehicle, handling stolen goods, vehicle theft, attempted robbery and driving offences.

"Both have been questioned in custody and released under investigation while enquiries continue.

"We're working proactively to go after those responsible for vehicle theft in Staffordshire."
