Man in Royal Stoke after 'falling from height'

A man is in the Royal Stoke after 'falling from height' this morning.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident on Etruscan Street in Etruria at 9:25am this morning.

The man was 'rescued by fire crews' before receiving treatment from paramedics on the forecourt of a self-storage business.

He was taken to hospital with 'serious but not life-threatening' injuries.

An aerial ladder platform from the fire service was at the scene alongside an ambulance, incident response units and police.

A spokesperson for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to an incident on Etruscan Street in Etruria at 9.35am and sent an ambulance, paramedic officer and the Trust's Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) to the scene.

"On arrival, crews found a man who had fallen from a height and suffered serious, but not life-threatening, injuries. Following treatment from medics, he was conveyed to Royal Stoke University Hospital."

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "We were called to a business on Etruscan Street, Etruria, Stoke-on-Trent, at 9.50am today (Thursday 10 July) after a man fell from a height.

"Officers attended the scene alongside colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service.

"He was rescued by fire crews and taken to hospital with minor injuries by paramedics."
