Two boys arrested after man 'punched' in Hanley

Two boys have been arrested after a man was punched in Stoke-on-Trent city centre on Sunday evening.
Staffordshire Police says a man in his 40s informed officers, who were patrolling Hanley on 29 June, that he had been punched by two boys. The man was also given medical advice from officers at the scene.
Two 15-year-old boys were arrested shortly after the incident and have since been released on bail with conditions while the investigation continues.
The two boys were both arrested on suspicion of assault by beating.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "At around 6.30pm on Sunday (29 June) hotspot patrol officers were walking around Hanley when a man disclosed that he had been punched by two boys.
"The victim, a man in his 40s, was given medical advice at the scene.
"Two boys, both aged 15 and from Stoke-on-Trent, were arrested shortly after on suspicion of assault by beating.
"They have both been bailed with conditions whilst our investigation continues."
