Two arrested after 'large amount' of drugs seized in Stoke-on-Trent

A 32-year-old man and a 42-year-old man have been arrested after a "large amount" of drugs were seized in Stoke-on-Trent.
Staffordshire Police officers were called at 11.10pm on Saturday (26 September) to Dawlish Drive, Bentilee, following reports of two vans and a car "well alight" inside a garage.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "The fire was extinguished and thankfully nobody was injured.
"The garages were searched and officers seized a large amount of monkey dust, heroin, cocaine and cannabis."
A 32-year-old man, of no fixed address, has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug, conspiracy to supply a class B controlled drug, possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
A 42-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of participating in the criminal activities of an organised crime group.
In a statement made today (Tuesday 29 September), the police said both remain in custody for questioning.
