A three-hour slow morning of reflection, intention setting and creating. Look back on 2026, choose your word for 2027, then build your own A4 journal cover around it.

December can feel like a rush to the finish line. This relaxing morning is a chance to pause, reflect, and get creative about the new year, purposefully.

We start with the page. Anna Woolliscroft from Writing with Purpose will guide you through journalling prompts that help you look back at your year: what you're proud of, what was challenging, and what you're ready to leave behind. Then you'll check in with the eight areas of wellbeing, from physical to social to spiritual, and notice where you feel full and where you feel stretched.

From there, you'll set your intentions for 2027 and choose one word to carry into the year.

Then we get creative. Sarah from The Creative Club will guide you as you build your word into the cover of an A4 notebook. Use colour, cut-outs, stickers, beads, gems and thread. You'll leave with a journal/notebook that's yours inside and out, with your first pages already written.

You don't need any writing or craft experience. Spelling doesn't matter, and there's no right way to do any of it.
