Locals in Endon have installed a special tribute to a caravan that briefly blighted a car park in the village last month.
A Facebook fan club even sprang up to celebrate the caravan, which was dumped in a corner of the car park at the Toby Carvery (known by locals as The Plough) on Leek Road, Stoke-on-Trent.
Despite it being flytipped, a number of people with a sense of humour quickly grew affectionate towards the caravan and one loved-up local even left a heart-shaped balloon for it on Valentine's Day.
However, following the caravan's removal things have taken an even more ingenious twist.
Locals have been coming up with new ways of marking its time in Endon – even going as far as creating tshirts and mugs in honour of 'Tobi The Towing Caravan of Love'.
Over the weekend they placed a plaque in the parking space that was previously occupied by the caravan.
However, their tribute was short-lived, as irate Toby Carvery staff have decided to remove it.
It seems they haven't seen the funny side of things, and are fuming their company has had to pay for the caravan to be removed, with apparently little chance of tracing its former owner.
While the caravan has undoubtedly been the talk of the town over the last few weeks, it looks like a lasting tribute might be harder to nail down.
Toby Carvery has been contacted for comment.
