This year's Trentham Winter Light Trail opens today with "bigger and better" installations and interactive displays.

The trail, which is over a mile long, takes visitors through the gardens alongside a variety of different light displays and soundscapes.

Tickets are now available to book for the event which will run from Friday 21 November to Sunday 4 January.

Trentham Winter Light Trail marketing manager, Rachael Langley, said: "It celebrates the magic of the season, giving families an amazing opportunity to make memories and spend quality time together.

"It also showcases Trentham Gardens which has such amazing features that we integrate into the trail."

Local independent vendors will be serving festive food and drinks at the beginning of the trail where there are also private chalets available for guests to book.

There is also pit stop along the trail to allow guests to warm up with hot drinks and toast marshmallows.

There will also be a children's funfair for younger visitors to attend.

This will mark the second year that the company WePop has organised the trail in collaboration with Trentham Gardens.

Rachael added: "We've got lots of new displays to make it bigger and better than last year.

"One we are particularly looking forward to is the immersive walkthrough where visitors will have flashing lights all around them set to an amazing soundscape.

"We started planning in January as soon as the last trail ended, so it has been really exciting to watch those plans come through into the final trail.

"Since the tickets have been put on sale, the reaction from the public this year has been brilliant with weekends through December already looking pretty full."

Adult tickets start from £17 and children/senior tickets at £12.50 for super off peak times, with family tickets starting from £50.

Tickets are available to book now on the Trentham Winter Light Trail website here
