A set of temporary traffic lights have been installed on a busy road in Meir, Stoke-on-Trent, this week.

Three-way lights are currently in place on Sandon Road, by the A50 roundabout.

The lights were installed yesterday (29 November) and Severn Trent Water say the 'utility repair and maintenance works' will be completed by 4pm tomorrow (1 December).

A Severn Trent spokesperson said: "A team has been on site making some improvements to a water main on Sandon Road. The work has now been completed and we'll be working hard to get the road surface repaired and everything back to normal as quickly as possible.

"We know that roadworks can be a pain and would like to apologise for any inconvenience and thank everyone for their patience."
