Three people were taken to hospital following a multi-vehicle collision on the A50 in Stoke-on-Trent on Friday (15 November).

The collision happened around Meir Tunnel at 6.25am and involved three vehicles.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "The driver of one of the vehicles and two women were taken to hospital after being assessed at the scene by paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service. 

Three people were taken to hospital following the collision (West Midlands Ambulance Service).

"Our colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service also went to the scene to ensure the vehicles were made safe. 

"Recovery was arranged and officers left the scene."
