Three Stoke-on-Trent men have been jailed following an attempted robbery in Fenton.
Korben Aubrey, 24, Caoimhin Martin, 23 and Ethan Sullivan, 22, all from Stoke-on-Trent, were sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court today (Friday 12 June).
They all pleaded guilty to attempted robbery at an earlier hearing.
Aubrey was jailed for three-years-and-seven-months, Martin was jailed for three-years-and-four-months and Sullivan was jailed for two-years-and-ten-months.
PC Brittany Astley, of the City Proactive Team, led the investigation. She said: "Following an investigation, the three men were arrested shortly after, and we seized clothing that matched that being worn on CCTV footage of the incident.
"They all initially answered 'no comment' to all questions when they were interviewed in custody but thanks to the strength of evidence gathered, later pleaded guilty in court.
"I'm glad that the court recognises the severity of the offending and has reflected this in the custodial sentences for all three men."
It comes after the three men went to an address in Fenton whilst concealing their faces just before midnight on Monday 9 February this year.
Staffordshire Police explained that the men approached a house before shouting threats through the letterbox, claiming they had a shotgun.
