Three men arrested over drug offences following suspicious driving in Stoke-on-Trent

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences following a search in Stoke-on-Trent. 

Police spotted a car being driven dangerously on Anchor Road in Adderley Green at 7.14pm on Sunday (21 May). 

The car was pulled over and searched but whilst this was happening, one of the passengers tried to run off.  

Officers managed to detain the man along with two others who were travelling in the car.

Police found numerous bags of cannabis inside the car (Staffordshire Police).

Cannabis was found inside the car and the driver tested positive for drugs.

All three men, aged 28, 27 from Longton and 30, from Blythe Bridge, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs. 

The driver was also arrested on suspicion of drug-driving. 

They have since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
