Thousands of women across Stoke-on-Trent take part in the Midnight to Sunrise Walk every year (Dougie Mac).

Dougie Mac's hugely popular Midnight to Sunrise Walk will return to the streets of Stoke on Friday 23 June.

Setting off from the Bet365 Stadium at midnight, the ladies only walk will see participants complete a ten mile walk, at their own pace, and returning back to the stadium.

Deborah Vickers, Head of Business and Community Fundraising, said, "We're really excited to be holding our Midnight to Sunrise Walk again as it's always a really popular, fun-filled night. Our walkers will meet at the bet365 stadium where there will be music, fun and laughter to get everyone in the mood and ready to hit the streets at midnight.

"The walk is a great chance to get together for a fun night with friends, family and colleagues, while raising vital funds for Dougie Mac's specialist care services. It's also an opportunity for anyone who has lost a loved one to do something in their memory and the route will pass our adult site in Blurton, giving our walkers the chance to stop and take a moment to remember them."

The walk starts and ends at Bet365 Stadium on Stanley Matthews Way (Nub News).

Dougie Mac supporter, Julie Arrowsmith, completed Dougie Mac's Midnight to Sunrise Walk last year with her sister Michelle, in memory of their Dad who was cared for by the hospice when he passed away in January 2022.

Julie said, "Dad spent around 12 weeks at Dougie Mac and we practically lived at the hospice with him. It wasn't just Dad they cared for, but also the rest of our family, the staff just couldn't do enough for us.

"We wanted to raise a good amount of money so we decided to do something challenging which would push us. Walking through the night with so many other ladies who had received care like us was incredible. We cried and laughed together as we all shared our stories about the fantastic care our loved ones had received, it was just amazing!"
