Three arrested in Stoke-on-Trent after drugs worth £18,000 found in searches

Staffordshire Police has arrested three men after £18,000-worth of drugs was found at two addresses in Stoke-on-Trent. 

Officers found an estimated £18,000 worth of cocaine, £5000 in cash and cannabis when searching two addresses and a vehicle in the Fenton area as part of a "proactive search". 

A 36-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis. 

A 34-year-old man and a 31-year-old man, both from Stoke-on-Trent, were also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug.

An update from Staffordshire Police said: "We have arrested three people as part of a proactive searches in Stoke-on-Trent where an estimated £18,000-worth of cocaine, cash and cannabis were found.

"All three are in custody for questioning.

"We've been working hard to tackle serious and organised crime in the city with Stoke-on-Trent City Council as part of our ongoing Making Great Places initiative." 

The arrests come after the police marked their 200th arrest as part of a crackdown on crimes affecting communities in Shelton and Hanley Park. 

From October last year to the end of January, the force has been working with Stoke-on-Trent City Council to rid the area of organised crime and to tackle the problems affecting local people the most.

Arrests in the area have taken place for offences including rape, criminal exploitation, drug supply and more with a total of 50 people charged with offences.
