A Stoke-on-Trent man has been charged with a number of offences after officers found an estimated £75,000-worth of drugs as well as knuckle dusters and tasers.

Staffordshire Police has confirmed that Matthew Moores, 31, of Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A – cocaine, possession of an offensive weapon in a private place, possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B – cannabis and two counts of possessing a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid / gas / electrical incapacitation device.

It comes after officers from the Stoke North local policing team (LPT) searched an address near Chell Heath Road on Tuesday (8 September).

The police force said drugs, knuckle dusters and tasers were seized.

Moores is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Thursday 10 September).
