Temporary traffic lights are planned for a busy Stoke-on-Trent road again this week whilst an 'underground blockage' is cleared.

Openreach will be carrying out 'utility repair and maintenance works' on Weston Road, near the junction for Weston Coyney Road, between Wednesday 6 and Friday 8 March.

Two-way signals will be in place whilst the work takes place and the footway will also be closed.

The work is due to take place on Weston Road, close to the junction for Weston Coyney Road (Nub News).

A spokesperson for Openreach said: "Our engineers will be working here for a couple of days to clear an underground blockage.

"Temporary traffic lights are needed to keep our engineers safe, but we'll work as quickly as we can to keep disruption to a minimum.

"The work is part of our effort to build and maintain the local full fibre infrastructure. There is no disruption to phone and broadband locally."
