Stoke biker killed in 'incredibly tragic' road traffic collision

A biker from Stoke-on-Trent has sadly died following a road traffic collision in Bosley, Cheshire, yesterday.

Police were called to the A523 in Bosley, near to the River Dane, shortly after 3pm following a collision between an orange and black KTM motorcycle and a silver Vauxhall Vivaro van.

The motorbike rider, a 43-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent, sadly passed away at the scene.

The driver of the van, a 39-year-old man from Staffordshire, was treated for minor injuries.

Sergeant Simon Degg, of Cheshire Police, said: "This was an incredibly tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.

"As part of our investigation, we are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
