Teenager arrested following stabbing in Stoke-on-Trent

A teenager has been arrested after a man was stabbed in Stoke-on-Trent yesterday (24 January).

Police were called to an alleyway off College Road, Shelton, at about 12.55. The victim, a man in his 20s, suffered a laceration on his back after he was approached by a man with a knife.

He was assessed at the scene by paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service and taken to hospital. His injuries aren't believed to be life-threatening at this time.

An 18-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. He was questioned about what happened in custody and released on conditional police bail while enquiries continue.
