Staffordshire Police is appealing for information after a teenage motorbike passenger suffered "serious injuries" in a collision in Stoke-on-Trent.

Following reports of a collision, officers were called to Victoria Park Road in Tunstall at 7.45pm yesterday (Wednesday 16 September).

Staffordshire Police said a silver Vauxhall Astra and a motorbike were involved.

The motorbike passenger, a teenage boy, was taken to hospital by ambulance with "potentially life-changing injuries".

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "The motorbike rider left the scene prior to our arrival and we are keen to speak to them about what happened.

"The car driver is assisting officers with their inquiries and the car has been recovered from the scene."

Officers are carrying out inquiries locally and are urging anyone with information, relevant CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage to get in touch.
