Stoke to fall silent for Remembrance Sunday Service this weekend

Stoke-on-Trent will fall silent for a Remembrance Sunday service and parade held in Stoke town centre this weekend (10 November).

The Service of Remembrance will take place at the Cenotaph on Kingsway, Stoke, commencing at 10.40am and consist of wreath-laying, a two minute silence (11am) and a parade.

Reverent Geoff Eze will lead the service and this will be attended by Civic Dignitaries, Veterans and members of the Armed Forces. 

Anyone wishing to take part in the parade must be present by no later than 10.20am (Nub News).

Anyone who wishes to take part in the Parade is asked to form up adjacent to the Kings Way Public House no later than 10.20am.

A road closure will be in place on Kingsway from 8am. 

The two-minute silence is held in respect for the fallen and in recognition of the continued service and bravery of our Armed Forces.
