A shoplifter has been banned from stores in Hanley after being issued with a three-year criminal behaviour order last week.

Andrew Kent, 43, is prohibited from entering B&M, Boots and River Island in Hanley as well as any retail premises in Festival Park, Festival Heights and Century Retail Park.

He has also been ordered to not wear any head/face coverings when entering stores in Stoke-on-Trent and to not conceal any items before reaching the payment point in stores.

Kent is banned from entering various Hanley stores, including those inside Potteries Centre (Nub News).

Kent must attend a 20-day rehabilitation activity and pay more than £300 in compensation.

It comes following a series of thefts committed by Kent between August 2022 and February 2023 at stores in Etruria and Hanley.
