More than 6,400 opportunities will be available for children across Stoke-on-Trent to enjoy free activities and healthy meals during the winter holidays.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council will work in partnership with The Hubb Foundation to deliver the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme.
Sessions will run throughout the Christmas period, from Saturday 20 December to Sunday 4 January for children aged 5 to 16 (including 4-year-old children enrolled in reception classes at Stoke-on-Trent schools from academic year 2025/26) who are eligible for benefits related free school meals.
Sports and arts and crafts activities will be available as well as outings such as theatre trips, bowling and laser quest.
Cllr Sarah Jane Colclough, cabinet member for children's services, said: "It is important that every child in Stoke-on-Trent has opportunities to have fun over the Christmas holidays.
"HAF sessions provide children with a healthy meal in a fun environment and the number of activities available mean there is something for everyone to enjoy."
Adam Yates, Chief Operating Officer at The Hubb Foundation, said "We're proud to continue working with Stoke-on-Trent City Council to make the HAF programme accessible to as many families as possible.
"These sessions not only provide fun and enriching experiences for children but also ensure they receive a healthy meal during the holidays, while providing essential support to families who need it most.
"It's about creating opportunities that make a real difference in our community."
The Department for Education's HAF funding primarily supports children who receive free school meals but the partnership between Stoke-on-Trent City Council and the Hubb Foundation means more children across the city are able to access the activities programme.
Sessions can be booked from 4pm today (Friday 28 November) here.
