Stoke-on-Trent Pride returns to Hanley today promising a vibrant celebration of identity, culture and community.

The organisers are expecting over ten thousand people to turn out today in Hanley Park with this year said to be one of the biggest city pride events yet.

Over 140 stalls will be across the park from local local charities, health organisations, sports clubs, public services, and retailers. As well there will be food vendors, a fairground, games and the parade at 2:30pm.

The Stoke Pride parade is at 2:30pm on Saturday 20 June. (Stoke-on-Trent Pride)

This year's Main Stage line-up features Stoke-born electropop artist Darla Jade, X Factor finalist Honey G, and 90s dance star Berri. Tribute artist Rachel Fuller will perform as Dua Lipa, with additional performances from Manchester singer and actor Rob King and full live bands such as Teacher's Pet, Vinyl Overdrive and Hassle.

Hosting the main stage this year is Kelly Wilde.

Over on the Fringe Stage there will be comedy, poetry and performances from LGBTQIA+ artists plus many more art, activities and performers around the whole event.

Stoke Pride organisers describe the event as "a celebration of identity and inclusion, aimed at bringing together people from all walks of life in a joyful and welcoming space.

"A record turnout is expected and a strong community focus, the event is set to be a highlight of the city's summer calendar."
