The National Literacy Trust is returning to Stoke-on-Trent this summer with a series of free family storytelling festivals.

Families will be treated to storytelling from local performers, draw-alongs, faceprinting, crafts, sports and more.

This summer event is perfect for children aged 0-11 and takes place in Longton Park this weekend, between 11am and 3pm.

Blurton Jumble Trail

Blurton Jumble Trail takes place on Saturday 3 August between 10am and 2pm (Mandi Childs).

Blurton Jumble Trail is taking place on Saturday 3 August and a map of addresses taking part can be found on the Blurton ASA Facebook group.

This is the perfect opportunity to meet others in your community, save unwanted items going to landfill and enjoy a walk around your local area on a treasure hunt.

Greyhound Gap Dog Show & Fun Day

This fantastic event takes place at Trubshaw Cross, Westport Road, Burslem, on Sunday 4 August (Greyhound Gap).

Greyhound Gap will be hosting an exciting Dog Show and Fun Day on Sunday 4 August.

There will be a have-a-go agility course, kids zone with various games, free faceprinting, Disney Princess meet and greet, penalty shootout and tombolas.

The event is free to attend although donations to Greyhound Gap are welcomed.

Don't forget you can advertise your event for FREE on our 'What's On' page by clicking the black 'Nub It' button.

If it wasn't for our sponsors like Bros Distillery and Powerleague, our what's on section and news site would not be possible. Thank you.
