A brand-new independent and person-centred care company has recently launched in Stoke-on-Trent.
Established in 2024, Lawton Care Services prides itself on providing "respectful, compassionate and responsive support" in clients' own homes.
The independent home care company is owned by Zoey Lawton, a highly experienced carer who feels passionately about providing "person-centred care" in the local area.
Zoey has been working as a carer since she was a teenager, when she took on the role of a young carer for her father.
She told Nub News: "I cared for my dad from the age of 14 so that's what got me into this profession.
"I worked for a few care companies but was never happy with the way things were done, you were very rushed and often only had time to pop in and check people were okay.
"This experience made me want to launch my own care company where we actually spend time with people.
"Elderly people can often be quite lonely, especially if their families are busy with their own children and jobs, but that's where we come in.
"These people have worked all their lives and supported us, they deserve something back, it's the least we can do."
Lawton Care Services offers person-centred community care and a huge range of services.
Zoey explained: "We offer general day-to-day services, anything from helping people get up and dressed in the morning, taking medication, making breakfast, support with shopping, essentially we're there to help in any way we can".
If you or your loved one needs care or support, contact Zoey for a free, non-obligation chat.
