Drivers have been urged to take care due to a burst water main in Fenton.

The water main is at the City Road/Napier Street junction near Fenton Manor Sports Complex.

Stoke-on-Trent City Council said: "The road is open, but please drive carefully - the escaping water is freezing over.

"Our gritting team has treated the area to help keep everyone safe."

A Severn Trent spokesperson said: "Our teams have been out on site to investigate a burst pipe on Napier Street and will be working to fix the issue as soon as possible.

"We're sorry for the disruption this may be causing, but all customers are still on supply, although some may be experiencing poorer pressure than normal.

"To be able to fix the pipe as quickly and safely as possible, we'll be installing traffic management to keep our workers and the public safe and we'd like to thank the local community for their patience as we do this.'"
