Roadworks for A34 Stone Road set to begin next week

Roadworks to improve safety have been are planned on the A34 Stone Road.

Stoke-on-Trent City Council explained that the work is set to start on Monday 2 February and is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete.

The impacted route is between Trentham Gardens roundabout and the Monkey Forest roundabout.

The council said: "Nearly 1200 metres of vehicle safety barrier are scheduled to be replaced along the central reservation of the A34 Stone Road."

An overnight closure will be in place on Monday 2 February, while some foliage is removed.

Lane closures will be in place Monday to Friday.

The full two-lane carriageway will be open over the weekend.

Stoke-on-Trent City Council has urged residents to plan their journeys in advance.
