Road closures and parking restrictions for Stoke-on-Trent People's Parade

Hundreds of artists, creatives and community groups are set to march through the streets of Hanley on Saturday for Stoke-on-Trent's People's Parade to celebrate the city's centenary.
The parade will set off from outside Stoke-on-Trent College at around 1pm on 7 June and there will be a number of road closures in place for drivers to be aware of.
Access to some roads will be affected by short road closures to allow the People's Parade to safely follow their route. Some parking bays along the route may also be briefly suspended.
The list of rolling road closures in Hanley for Saturday 7 June:
- 12.30pm – 1.30pm: College Road from Avenue Road to A5006 Broad Street. Access to adjoining roads will be affected.
- 1.15pm – 1.45pm – Broad St and adjoining roads.
- 2.00pm – 2.30pm – Bethesda Road, Lower Bethesda Road and adjoining roads.
- 2.30pm – 3.00pm – Regent Road and adjoining roads.
The parade will also be crossing Potteries Way at the junction for Broad Street and again at the junction for Regent Road as the parade makes its way back to Hanley Park.
The city council says the parade has been planned so only small areas will be closed for a short period of time and immediately reopened as soon as it is safe to do so.
Access to Smithfield and John Street car parks will be limited during the parade and for a short time before and afterwards, and the council says signage in place with more information on the day.
`The organisers are recommending John Street, Hope Street and the the Potteries Centre car parks - but arrive before 12:30pm to avoid the road closures.
