Pub in Newcastle-under-Lyme reopens with fresh new look

A pub in Newcastle-under-Lyme has reopened with a fresh new look following a refurbishment.
The makeover at the Cotton Mill on Liverpool Road has created a new sports bar area complete with 4k TVs, Sky Sports and TNT.
Alongside this there is a new family lounge, offering a dedicated space designed to meet the needs of families and create a relaxed atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

The menu remains the same as before the refurbishment including soups, salads and hand-stretched pizzas from the dedicated pizza kitchen. A traditional Sunday roast continues weekly, along with a daily specials board and a children's menu.
The Cotton Mill's Glen Simmonds said: "We're so excited to be back open and show off the fantastic new look.
"We've worked hard to make The Cotton Mill a space for everyone - whether you're catching the game with friends, enjoying a family lunch, or just popping in for a pint.
"The new Sky Sports package, refreshed interiors, and outdoor seating make it a perfect spot year-round."

Lilian Dodd, former mayor of Stoke-on-Trent, was chosen to pull the first pint to mark the opening of the pub.
Lilian was first elected as a local, independent Councillor in 2015 and just two years later was made the Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent.
Duty Manager Brad is how Lilian is connected with the pub – Brad spent ten years in care, and drawing on this background, he co-founded the charity Symmetrical alongside Lilian, with the mission of helping young people in North Staffordshire aged 17–25 who are transitioning out of social care.

Symmetrical provides vital guidance, resources, and a sense of community to help these young adults build independent, confident lives beyond the care system.
The Cotton Mill is one of 1,600 Marston's pubs across England, Scotland and Wales, which ranges from traditional locals and family-friendly venues to modern and community pubs.
