'Problem' house in Stoke-on-Trent shut down

A house in Stoke-on-Trent associated with anti-social behaviour and drug use has been shut down by police.
Staffordshire Police successfully applied for a closure order for a house on Oxford Road in Fegg Hayes and the notice has been attached to the door with tape stating 'biohazard'.
Now the force is in talks with Stoke-on-Trent City Council to get the property cleaned up after magistrates at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre approved the three-month closure last week.
It comes after the community highlighted the house as having become a site of anti-social behaviour, drug use and crime, according to Staffordshire Police.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "On Thursday (19 June), magistrates at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre approved the closure order which will last for three months.
"Officers are now liaising with the local authority over the repair of the property to ensure public safety and address environmental health concerns.
"Closure orders are just one of the ways we work with local authorities and partners to address anti-social behaviour."
