Police seize £115k in drugs and make four arrests after raids in Stoke-on-Trent

Staffordshire Police has recovered more than £100,000 worth of drugs, £50,000 cash and arrested four people after fresh raids in Stoke-on-Trent.

Officers searched properties off Oxford Road, in Fegg Hayes, and off Chell Heath Road, in Chell Heath, on Friday 20 June and found 1.5kg of cocaine with a street value of £75,000, 5kg of amphetamine worth around £20,000 and 10kg of cannabis resin and vegetation worth £20,000.

Police also seized around 1,000 cannabis vapes, a knuckle duster, "a number of expensive watches and mobile phones" as well as £50,000 in cash.

A 42-year-old man, a 41-year-old man, a 29-year-old woman, and a 27-year-old woman, all from Stoke-on-Trent, were arrested.

The 29-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs. 

The 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs while the 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs. 

A 27-year-old woman was also arrested "a short time later" on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs.

All four have since been released under investigation.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Officers detained three people during the warrants: a 42-year-old man, a 41-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, all from Stoke-on-Trent.  

"The woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs. 

"The 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs while the 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs. 

"They have all since been released under investigation. 

"A 27-year-old woman, also from Stoke-on-Trent, was also arrested a short time later on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs. She too has since been released under investigation while our inquiries continue. 

"The arrests come as we continue to crackdown on the supply of illegal drugs across Staffordshire."
