Police seize 25 vehicles in three hours in Stoke-on-Trent

Police used a plane to help seize 25 vehicles across Stoke-on-Trent last week in a three-hour crackdown.
Staffordshire Police captured two off-road bikes as well as 23 other vehicles without valid tax or insurance. There were also two arrests made.
The move is part of 'Operation Reclaim' and last week's use of the NPAS plane was funded through the seizure of criminal assets.
Now the force says the 23 drivers are due in court in the coming weeks.
Following the operation, chief inspector Scott McGrath, of the road crime team, said: "Our team is out and about 24-hours-a-day, actively using the latest technology and equipment to make Staffordshire a hostile location for illegal road activity.
"Those that choose to drive without a licence or insurance impact on every law-abiding motorist and create an unnecessary risk.
"I am pleased that we were able to identify so many offences and seize bikes as well as many other vehicles.
"We will continue to do all we can to tackle the use of illegal off-road bikes and related criminality, in order to protect those who use Staffordshire's road network safely and responsibly."
One man was arrested for obstruction and was later found to be wanted for harassment.
Another man was arrested for "unrelated matters," Staffordshire Police said.
