Three people have been arrested over drug offences after police carried out warrants across Stoke-on-Trent.

Searches were carried out at properties in Chell Heath, Bradeley and Hanley this morning (23 September) with people found in possession of monkey dust and cannabis at one home.

During the searches in Chell Heath and Bradeley, a 35-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A.

A 22-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug.

Separately, Staffordshire Police carried out a warrant at a home in Hanley and found monkey dust and cannabis.

A 47-year-old man, a 32-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, all from the city, were issued with community resolutions for possession of monkey dust.

A 49-year-old woman, also from Stoke-on-Trent, was given a community resolution for possession of cannabis.

Sergeant Will Evans, from Stoke South LPT, said: "I cannot stress enough how much drug use and drug supply negatively impacts our communities.

"There is no place for it and we will continue to take action against those responsible.

"I want to encourage members of the public to come forward with any relevant information and thank them for their support."
