Police launch investigation following a number of attempted burglaries in Stoke-on-Trent

Police say they are investigating following a number of attempted burglaries in Stoke-on-Trent yesterday (17 April).

CCTV shows a group of men trying to break into homes near Sapphire Drive, Milton, at around 2.30am.

The men were wearing tracksuits and balaclavas and police think they left the scene in either a white Ford Focus or a white Nissan Qashqai.

Nothing was reported stolen.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "If you have any information or dashcam footage of the area that could help us with our enquiries, call 101 quoting 372 of 17 April, or message the LiveChat on our website.

"You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
