Police launch appeal following 'suspicious incident' in Stoke-on-Trent

Staffordshire Police are appealing for information following reports that a man tried to grab a boy in Stoke-on-Trent.

The boy, aged 12, was walking with a group of friends along Sandon Road, Meir, at around 4pm yesterday (12 February), when the group was approached by a white Transit van.

The passenger got out of the vehicle and grabbed at one of the group. Fortunately nobody was injured.

Staffordshire Police say: "Anyone who saw what happened, or those with CCTV or dashcam footage of the area, is urged to get in touch.

"Call us on 101, quoting incident 619 of 12 February, or message us using Live Chat on our website – www.staffordshire.police.uk."
