Police launch appeal after teenager bitten by dog in Cheadle

Staffordshire Police are appealing for information after a teenage boy was bitten by a dog in Cheadle.

The incident happened just after 5pm yesterday (18 January), the victim was jogging when he went past a man and his dog on Cecilly Brook.

The dog then jumped towards the teen, causing minor puncture wounds and scratches to his stomach and leg. 

The owner of the dog - who was wearing a light green coat - didn't give any details and left the scene after it happened. The boy did not require hospital treatment. 

The dog is believed to be a spaniel and its owner is described as being in his mid-30s to mid-40s and around 5ft 10ins tall.
