Police launch appeal after man sexually assaults teenage girl in Newcastle

Staffordshire Police are appealing for information after a man sexually assaulted a teenage girl in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Police say that at around 6.35pm on Thursday 14 March, a man attempted to steal the girl's bicycle on Douglas Road before sexually assaulting her.

The man is described as white,  of slim build and around 5ft 6ins tall. He was wearing a black Stone Island tracksuit, gloves, a balaclava and black Adidas trainers. He was also carrying a grey bag. 

Enquiries to identify the man are ongoing.
