Police arrest murder suspect after death of man in Stoke-on-Trent

A 46-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died in Stoke-on-Trent yesterday.
Emergency services were called to a house on Lymebrook Place in Trent Vale just after 4pm on Monday and found two men inside the property.
A 38-year-old man died at the scene and another man was treated and transferred to the Royal Stoke with "less serious injuries".
Staffordshire Police is treating the death as suspicious and now a 46-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. There remains a police presence in the area.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died in Stoke-on-Trent.
"We were called at 4.05pm yesterday afternoon (Monday 10 March) to reports of a disturbance at a house on Lymebrook Place, Trent Vale.
"Sadly, a 38-year-old man, was pronounced dead a short time later. His death is being treated as suspicious.
"A 46-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
"At this time, we are not looking for anyone else in connection to the investigation.

"The community will have noticed police activity in the area and this is to reassure residents who we know are concerned and to speak to them to see if they have information which may assist us."
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and an air ambulance all dispatched to the scene on Monday afternoon, along with the police and fire crews.
A spokesperson for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: " We were called to an incident at a private address near Riverside Road, Trent Vale at 4.16pm. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford were sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews found two men.
"Sadly, it quickly became apparent that the first patient could not be saved and he was confirmed dead at the scene. The second patient was treated for potentially serious injuries and conveyed to hospital."
