Police appeal for information following 'serious assault' in Stoke-on-Trent

Staffordshire Police is appealing for information following a "serious assault" in Stoke-on-Trent.
At 9.20pm last night (Wednesday 3 June) Staffordshire Police were told that a man had been stabbed during a disturbance involving a large group of people on Hartshill Road, Hartshill.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Armed officers went to the scene, safeguarded the man and searched the area.
"No weapons, or suspects were found."
The force explained that the victim, a man in his 40s, suffered an injury to his arm and was taken to hospital by West Midlands Ambulance Service.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police added: "His [the victim's] injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
"The group left the area via Hartshill Road towards Hartshill."
Four suspects involved are described as:
- A man wearing black tracksuit bottoms, a grey jacket, black trainers and a balaclava.
- A man wearing blue jeans, black trainers, a black top and a Burberry-style checked shacket.
- A man wearing black jeans, a black top, a black gillet and white trainers.
- A man wearing a navy-blue tracksuit and white trainers. He was also carrying a rucksack.
