Police appeal for information after crucifix damaged at Stoke-on-Trent church

Staffordshire Police are appealing for information following criminal damage at a church in Stoke-on-Trent.

Just after 7pm on 27 November, police were told that a man had damaged a crucifix outside St Mary and St Chad Church, Anchor Road, Longton.

The suspect is described as as in his 30s and around 5ft 11ins tall. He was of stocky build with dark hair and a beard, and was wearing a beanie hat, grey tracksuit bottoms, a khaki-coloured coat, and white trainers.

Police say they are are investigating and have examined local CCTV.

Anyone with information, or CCTV or dash cam footage of the area at the time, is urged to contact police by calling 101, quoting reference 602 of 27 November, or via Live Chat on the website.
