Plans have been submitted to turn a former GP surgery in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, into flats.
The proposals would see the old Hanley Primary Care Access Hub, on Stafford Street, Hanley, converted into 15 self-contained apartments.
The walk-in clinic was closed in 2022, saving the NHS £1.2 million a year, as commissioners believed it was no longer needed, and the building has remained vacant since then. An application to change its use to accommodation has now been submitted to Stoke-on-Trent City Council.
Under the proposals, parts of the ground floor and lower ground floor, and the whole of the first and second floors, would be turned from offices into flats.
The flats would be a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments. The rest of the ground floor would be retained as three commercial units, with storage space, a bin store and cycle store on the lower ground floor.
Council planners are due to make a decision on the proposals by June 10.
