Plans for a brand-new flat above a popular takeaway in Meir have been submitted to Stoke-on-Trent City Council.

The applicant, Mr Rafique, wants to convert office and staff amenity space above Caprinos, on Weston Road, into a residential flat.

The new flat would take over the first and second floors of the unit and two existing offices would become bedrooms.

There is already a kitchen and office upstairs but there would also be two toilets and a living area on the first floor.

The unit also already has two designated parking spaces, located to the rear of the takeaway.

A decision is expected regarding these plans in the coming months.
